Triple H has revealed who he thinks is the biggest star in WWE history / Video

There’s no definitive answer on who the greatest WWE superstar of all time truly is. We all have our favourites and opinions, but there aren’t any official rankings or confirmation on who the best might be.

Obviously, the likes of Shawn Michaels, The Rock, Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin are going to be just four of the many names that fans immediately suggest - all for very different reasons - and it's probably the one argument which continues to divide WWE fans.

THE GOAT

You’re going to have fans pick out the greatest of all time based on the character, the microphone work, their brilliant in-ring work, longevity and so on. When you combine all of them together, it does narrow the search down slightly, but you’re still going to be left with a handful of elite stars who can all stake their claim at being that one best WWE star in history.

Considering this is all a game of opinions, perhaps the opinions of those in WWE matter the most. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have both worked alongside the best the company has ever had to offer, and they recently appeared on ESPN’s First Take to promote WrestleMania 34 next Sunday where the duo team up to take on Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey in a mixed tag team match.

When asked to take themselves out the equation - which is why Triple H probably didn’t pick himself - they were asked who they believe is the best WWE star of all time, with Stephanie having an interesting choice in Andre the Giant.

She said: “For me, personally, it’s got to be Andre the Giant. I think a lot of people would say The Rock, a lot of people might say John Cena, especially recently. But I would say Andre.

“He’s a pop culture icon that has transcended media around the world. Of course, we have our HBO special that’s going to be premiering in a couple of weeks in April and it’s just going to be an incredible reflection on the life of an icon.”

The Game chimed in with an incredible shout, stating that wherever he travels in the world, the name everyone is talking about is The Undertaker which shows just how much of an impact he has made.

THE DEADMAN

He added: “For me, the answer is kind of mixed because there are different aspects to that. You can talk about the impact of Hulk Hogan or The Rock and him now being the biggest box office attraction in Hollywood. You can talk about Stone Cold Steve Austin. But there’s one guy for me within our industry that resonates beyond all else.

“When I go to India or the Middle East or Europe or Japan or Australia, South America, it doesn’t matter. One of the names that’s always brought up first and foremost is The Undertaker.

“The character, iconic character of that...it just transcends everything and it is for so many people that kind of character that encapsulates what WWE is.”

Many will agree with The King of Kings, especially since he’s still going strong with a clash against John Cena expected to take place at WrestleMania 34.
